Nickel PR is a sole trader founded and solely operated by Josephine Nickel-Leaupepe.

Josephine’s experience is built on a decade of working in the media industry as a journalist; where she worked in all genres of the media; in print, radio and television. Her experience has helped built a wealth of knowledge, contacts and networks in the industry throughout the Pacific Region, and in the United States; thanks to a four year freelance contract with Chicago Broadcasting CBS TV as an assistant producer for the 48 Hours programme. Josephine was also contracted to collaborate in an investigative project for TVNZ One News from 2004 – 2005.
Her work at the Parliament of Samoa as the Sub Editor of Hansard Records in 2008 boosted her confidence in diplomatic relations and having a ‘nose’, knowledge, understanding and passion in political climates and how effective communications can make a world of difference in pushing policies and messages through to the general public.
In 2009 Josephine was successfully selected to the post of Media Public Relations Manager for the then Samoa Football Soccer Federation just as the association was getting back on its feet from various allegations of mismanagement and corruption. A huge part of her role with the Federation was around rebuilding, re-branding and reputation management to improve the federation’s public image.
Josephine’s experiences and acquired skills have always been with her since, and she uses it everywhere she can helping various organisations and small businesses who seek out her assistance in media awareness campaigns, marketing, advertising and more. Thus she saw it fit to align this passion, skill set and experience into a paid service.
